The JACK Quartet

The JACK String Quartet has commissioned Nicolás Varchausky a piece for the upcoming year. In March 2011, the JACK  met with Varchausky in New York City and did a first test where the group interacted with a computer that would prompt them with various types of instructions. Group and individual routines where designed, telling the players with an increasing amount of detail, what and when  to play, for how long, with what sound quality, dynamic, etc.
