A stereo electronic piece.
BLANCO DE ZINC is part of a series of three pieces exploring the metaphoric nuances of color and sound. In this case, a metallic quality is explored throughout the piece. It features recordings of four female voices producing non verbal vocal gestures (like breathing, yelling, laughter, moaning, etc) and processed by a computer. Early drafts of the piece were used for Jorge Sánchez’s theatre piece “El Desmadre”, featuring the actresses recorded for this composition.
BLANCO DE ZINC was awarded a 1st Mention at the 1st Electroacoustic Music Forum organized by the Goethe Institut of Córdoba, Argentina.
It was released in the CD Intervenciones 99/00 (BAU Records 2002).
